Kernel Level Anti Cheat Install Time?

I don’t want to install any Kernel-level stuff. I avoid games with them, so I won’t buy things like Battlefield. However, I noticed that Warhammer 40k space marine 2 is on a good sale and wanted it. But there is the kernel-level software.

Does this kernel-level software get installed when the game is installed? Or when you select to play multiplayer?

Stair Stringer Mounting Board

My deck has 2 stairs. I replaced one and while looking around I found this nightmare. A few other little points are going bad so going to also replace this set too.

I need to mount the stringer to not be flush with the deck, so it will be lowered like it is in the pic. Is there a specific type, thickness, etc for a board to use for where I attach the stringers?
