Buying First AR15 Advice
Hey guys. I'm new to the AR world and am looking at getting my first AR. Looking to get a good quality gun that will last a long time. It'll mostly be for range sessions, and general shooting fun. I have a Sig 9mm pistol that I use for home defense. I was originally set on the DDM4 V7 16in as my gun of choice. Yesterday I went by the gunshop and told the guy there what I was looking for and he tried to steer me away from the standard V7 and instead told me the V7P 556 pistol or the Giessele SD 14.5 would both be funner guns for range sessions than the standard V7. Considering I'll probably be shooting under 200yards most of the time would the accuracy and lack of muzzle energy be a big issue with the 10.3 in barrel? Also how is the recoil with the brace on the 10.3in barrel compared to the others? Looking for general advice from others who've tried all three.
