Incoming Transfer Student Timeline and Advice - Feeling Behind

What am I supposed to be doing right now?
I know I need to do my placement exams and I'm interested in the transfer connections mentorship, so I need to do that application. I have my virtual academic advising appointment towards the end of July and my on-campus orientation date in August.

What else do I need to do?

For housing, I got waitlisted for the transfer year experience dorm, but I got accepted to the residential college program and dorm. Although there's some uncertainty there because I need to be able to graduate in two years.

Here's the situation with my RC credits:
I need to petition for my first year writing requirement. I took two quarters of a freshman writing seminar at Northwestern, but they aren't on the list of accepted courses. They aren't on the list of not accepted courses either, so I think there's hope there. I just have to do the petition.

I'm also not sure how my foreign language requirement will transfer over to the RC. I took two years of Spanish starting from zero at Northwestern, which meets the general LSA requirement. But I haven't been in a Spanish class since Spring 2024, and I wasn't very good at it and didn't enjoy it very much. I'm worried I'll have to take the second semester of intensive Spanish which is an 8 credit class and then take a Spanish readings/culture class in the Spring.

If I don't take the RC offer I don't know what to do about housing. Should I wait for Michigan housing to tell me what's happening?

Because I'm fine if I'm not in the transfer year experience. I mostly just need a place to live and would like it to be on-campus.

How do I even look for off-campus housing? Is it too late? I don't know what's a good deal and what's not.

As for my major, I want to do data science and psychology but I don't know if a double major as a transfer is even possible in general, or feasible for me with my timeline.

Lastly, I need more financial aid. I don't know how to appeal it. Do I just email them and ask? There is some hope because my life situation and financials have suddenly materially changed for the future which could help me. I just don't know the process or what the outcomes are.

I see all these posts of people's class schedules and it's making me feel behind and worried. I just don't know what I'm supposed to be doing right now.

Any advice or reassurance would be awesome. I'm really excited about this, I just feel a little discombobulated and overwhelmed.
