I know box hair can be a pain in the rear and that the hair is poly. I’m just wondering if it’s better to just reroot and style than to spend all the time trying to restore it. She’s mostly going to be a display doll more than anything so that I can try on clothes and whatnot.

I am fine with either option, but I’m wondering what option is most effective or if there’s another option I haven’t considered.

I was able to get one of the last ones at retail price. She’s so pretty I’m in love! This is her alternate outfit that comes with her. I really like the stand that came with it too. It creates a sort of “floating” look since she’s a fairy. And it’s not wobbly or unbalanced.

I sanded the body to smooth things out and to prepare it for adding epoxy clay and painting tattoos. My brain shorted out and forgot if I need to use MSC before I add the clay and paint and if I need to add it in between paint coats. I apologize if this has been answered before. And suggestions are appreciated.

I used an old cosplay wig from Arda Wigs for the hair since I needed a lot of length. It worked perfectly especially since the hair is heat resistant! I did use the glue along the hairline. I’m not too worried about it showing since her hair will cover it up. I do plan on cleaning it up later though

Anyway I am now letting the glue inside dry and I kinda made a silly Vlad the Impaler joke (Sorry if this is a bit much for dark humor).

I’ve been wanting to try making custom dolls so I jumped in. This is going to be my D&D character Juno since her outfit seems easiest.

After some work and restarting the sketches many times I’ve gotten to where I can paint it. This is what I have so far! I apologize for the blurry photos.
