Excessive pressure on IO10?
Hi everyone!
I recently bought an iO 10 with the new Smart Adapt mode (on the newer models), coming from an iO 6, and I have to use a lot of pressure—especially on smaller teeth—for the brush to “notice” it’s touching them and turn green. To the point where the brush head looks all spread out and hurts me a lot.
I noticed this within the first two days of using it and took it back to the store. I explained what was happening, and they said that was really weird and shouldn’t happen. They gave me a replacement.
Fast forward a couple of days, and I have the replacement, but the same thing is happening. I never had, and still don’t have, any problems with my iO 6, and I’m very unsatisfied since it was such a big purchase and it’s not helping me with pressure at all.
I have receding gums, and the brush is supposed to help me, but instead it’s making things harder for me.
As anyone experienced this? Is it the model that has different calibrations or was I just unlucky?
