Anyone else tired of Elden Ring "Beating ER with 'x' " kind of videos?
I really enjoy watching Elden Ring videos/challenge runs where people beat the game using 'x' or 'y' build to see how well those things hold up... except something i've begun noticing A LOT lately is that now it seems like everyone of those kinds of videos just.. ends up being the content creator speedrunning to Golden Vow & Howl of Shabiri, and then one or two items for that specific build, and then speedrunning to DLC to get poison hand and other items they can abuse for ridiculous damage buffs...
And instead of it being about how "can you beat elden ring with poison only" its more of "can you beat elden ring by abusing every buff in the game while using a themed weapon/spell/incant"
I really just wish they'd make content where they actually stick to the theme rather then just abusing buffs, and barely sticking to the theme of the build. If you say you're gonna see how well lets say.. Godslayer incants & Weapons.. then i expect that you'll use ONLY the weapons and Godslayer Marked Incantations... that means no golden vow, no howl of shabiri, no poison hand, no black helmet (or whatever the buff damage when frenzy is proccd helmet is called), none of that stuff and only godslayer weapon and incants, nothing else but that.
Like yeah... no shit you can beat Elden Ring super easily with Anything if you abuse every buff in the game to skyrocket you're damage but that really isnt a great way of testing how well a specific theme can get through the game.
