I've realized I've been doing this for quite a while. Mostly I mean some social cues/dynamics, conflicts, tensions or whatever.

I've realized it's defense, because people often have a hard time understanding I'd get this or that, but can be genuinely oblivious to something else. Then they get mad at me, because they think I'm doing it on purpose and take offense.

So acting like I don't understand/care about anything social works out great for me, because people just take it better when they think I'm completely clueless.
