Ninjago: Next Gen V2
V2 of our next generation ninja team! 3 years and a new account later, we’ve got updates! Originally I created this story as a counter to Dragons Rising as I did NOT vibe with season one at all, but after season 2 I decided to include it after all. The story takes place after the merge is reversed, with portals between the realms allowing easy travel between them (Aside from the banished realms, such as the land of monsters, land of eternal dawn, the never kingdoms), a newly renewed Oni threat, a possible remerging, new golden weapons, and of course, multiple enemies! V3 will come after the new season Ninjago legends comes out, as I want to see if the new ninja are direct descendants or distant. All the of the V2 ninja take their names from people known in Ninjago through family, royalties, or close connections.
Onto our characters!
First up, we have Nya and Jay’s daughter Libby, the elemental master of lightning. Using the new trident of lightning, she’s able to focus her lightning in a beam more concentrated than previously masters could with the nunchucks due to the lightning rod built into it. Now for Nya and Jay’s other child, Ray. Current Elemental Master of Water, he uses the new nunchucks of water, as much like his element, its range and reach are both fluid and flexible. Libby and Ray serve as the team’s crowd control members.
Following up, we have Cole and Geo’s daughter Millie. The new master of earth, she wields the new scythe of earth, but mainly fights with her element over her weapons, being the team’s defensive coordinator.
Next up we have Kai and Skylor’s daughter Mystaké. Named after the Oni that gave her life for Skylor and the resistance, she is the current master of fire. She wields the rebuilt sword of fire, in addition to her fire arrows which are able to create flaming arrows to spread her element and consume her enemies, being the team’s designated marksman. After Mystaké, we have Kai and Skylor’s other child, Rusty. Currently the master of amber, he wields the new Sai of amber, as much like his element, he is the team’s CQC specialist.
Following up with almost all our organic couples, we finally reach Zane and Pixal’s daughter Cyra. While she does use her father’s bow, she’s also very flexible and capable of using all weapons her father and mother have used, however she prefers to use ranged weaponry, such as the rebuilt shruiken of ice, and is the team’s sniper.
Following him, we reach the first Lloyd and Harumi’s children, and currently the powerless one, Brad. Inheriting Wu’s power of Creation, it was stolen from him by the Revenge Snake when he was one. While he is still technically the master of it, he is unable to use it so long as Aspheera holds his elemental energy in her staff that was upgraded upon her finding Clouse and Chen’s staff, and raiding the city of temples for the tournament staff’s blueprints; Having no elemental abilities until his power is restored, he had to learn how to serve the team in the role of the new Samurai X, taught by Nya and P.I.X.A.L., and serving as the team’s mechanic.
Now for the leader of the team, Koko. Inheriting her father’s element of energy, she does NOT possess his golden power as Lloyd intends to hold that burden till his passing. She opted for a a weapon that would allow for a mixture of her parents weapon, with the reach of her mother’s katana and the power of her father’s dao/Bo staff. Armed with her War Staff of Energy, she leads the current generation of Ninja much as her father did.
Finally, we have Lloyd who has assumed the role of Wu. He still takes an active role on the team, moreso than Wu but not as much as he used to. Harumi assumes the role of Misako on the team, as her education from being the jade princess, along with the power and reach it gives her supplies the ninja with all their current tech after the passing of Cyrus Borg, and P.I.X.A.L. being cut off by Borg Industries.
Our new additions:
First, we have Sora and Frak’s children
Mambo, the current master of Quake, wields the new Guisarme of Quakes, while also wielding knucklebusters; he serves as the team’s second CQC specialist. Leva, the current master of technology, uses the new staff of technology, which also serves as a data spike; she serves as the team’s primary hacker/computer specialist.
Wyldfyre and Morro may not be the elemental masters of heat and wind anymore, and Arin might not have ever had an element, but they serve as the team/school’s trainers outside of Lloyd. Wyldfyre underwent a transformation ritual found in the temple’s libraries to honor her dragon heritage, and as such retains the perks of dragon form, with wings and the ability to breathe fire. She serves as the master of rising dragon technique after Rontu’s death, and teaches the new generation how to perform rising dragon, along with all dragon related skills, in addition to allowing the team to travel the realms with her dragon portal abilities; Morro handles the education of the other realms, the advanced fighting techniques, and the history of realms, before the merge, during it, and the history since its reversal. Arin handles base fighting techniques and general spinjitzu training.
