Freestar Constellation Fleet Showcase 🚀- Re-uploaded completed Version
(Probably an unreasonable amount of shipbuilding and image editing, but we ignore that part.)
Reposting due to messing up the original posts images, + this being the completed FCS Fleet. (thanks to those who recommended I do so! <3)
After spending about a week almost exclusively inside the ship builder, I finally finished what’s probably the most complete version of my Freestar Constellation fleet so far.
The fleet consists of a mix of large-scale capital ships and smaller battlecruisers designed to feel believable within Starfield’s universe rather than just oversized flying gun platforms.
Two of these ships were originally designed by Lindan Engineering Corporation (u/NxTbrolin on Reddit), whose builds genuinely inspired me to start experimenting with larger-scale warship construction myself. Huge thanks to Lindan for creating ship designs for those of us not creative enough (like myself) to come up with builds on this scale from scratch.
The Dreadmere was rebuilt internally with a heavily redesigned habitation and operational structure to better fit the style I wanted, while the Wraithfall remains almost entirely faithful to the original design because honestly… there wasn’t much to improve in the first place.
The Ironveil, Gravewind, Deathwind, and Duskreign were later added to expand the fleet into more specialised combat and deployment roles.

The Wraithfall feels far more like a dedicated frontline warship — tighter corridors, denser operational sections, and a significantly more aggressive overall silhouette.
FCS Duskreign
Capital Class M Heavy Battlecruiser
Built around the visual inspiration of Halo’s UNSC frigates, the Duskreign serves as a heavy deployment battlecruiser designed for rapid planetary operations, sustained frontline combat, and deep-space expeditionary support.
Compared to the fleet’s larger capital ships, the Duskreign was intentionally designed with a more compact Class M profile to allow easier planetary approach manoeuvres, faster deployment operations, and improved responsiveness during hostile ground support missions. Its overall structure prioritises rapid troop insertion and operational flexibility while still retaining enough firepower to independently engage enemy warships during prolonged combat operations.
Specifications
- Size: 48m Wide × 62m Long
- Decks: 6 Functional Decks
- Crew Capacity: 20
- Role: Heavy Battlecruiser / Planetary Deployment Vessel
Armament
- 3x Matilija Aerospace MR300A Magnetic Rail Artillery Turrets
- 3x Matilija Aerospace HZ30A Howitzer Turrets
- 6x Matilija Aerospace UDC30A Ultra Destroyer Cannons
Systems
- Sextant Inviolate SG-M30 Class M Shield Generator
- Slayton Aerospace SGD 4300 Class M Grav Drive
- Xiang Cluster Impact 52 Class M Reactor
Internal Layout
The Duskreign was built around rapid deployment capability, allowing the ship to support planetary expeditions, frontline troop insertion, and extended combat patrols without sacrificing operational sustainability.
Major Sections
- Dedicated Living Areas supporting long-term deployments
- Central Mess Hall for active personnel rotations
- 3 Rapid Deployment Troop Bays for immediate planetary insertion
- 2 Fully Equipped Armories maintaining combat readiness
- Crew Quarters distributed across operational decks
- Infirmary and Medical Section for combat casualty response
The Duskreign ultimately functions as a self-sustaining military expedition vessel capable of rapidly transitioning between troop deployment, planetary support, and frontline fleet combat operations.
FCS Ironveil
Heavy Class C Battlecruiser
Built as a fast-response heavy battlecruiser focused on aggressive forward firepower and rapid deployment capability.
Specifications
- Size: 31m Wide × 58m Long
- Decks: 4 Functional Decks
- Crew Capacity: 15
- Role: Escort Battlecruiser / Heavy Strike Vessel

The Ironveil was designed around rapid-response fleet engagements while still retaining enough infrastructure to support sustained operations away from major settlements.
FCS Gravewind
Heavy Class C Battlecruiser
A smaller fleet support battlecruiser designed for sustained escort operations and defensive fleet screening.
Specifications
- Size: 27m Wide × 43m Long
- Decks: 4 Functional Decks
- Crew Capacity: 12

Internal Layout
The Gravewind was designed to support larger fleet vessels during extended combat operations while maintaining enough onboard infrastructure for independent deployment capability.
Major Sections
- Dedicated Living Space Section for crew support
- Hydroponics Bay sustaining long-range operations
- Troop Deployment Area supporting rapid response operations
- Engineering Section maintaining combat systems and propulsion
- Armory supporting defensive readiness
- Crew Quarters distributed throughout operational decks
- Infirmary and emergency treatment section
The Gravewind was built to operate alongside larger fleet vessels, using its flak systems and defensive coverage to protect capital ships from smaller hostile craft during sustained engagements.
FCS Deathwind
Heavy Class C Battlecruiser
A sister ship to the Gravewind, the Deathwind was built around heavier offensive capability while still retaining the same compact fleet-support profile. Designed for aggressive close-range engagements and defensive screening operations, it trades some habitation space for significantly increased firepower.
Specifications
- Size: 31m Wide × 43m Long
- Decks: 3 Functional Decks
- Crew Capacity: 12
- Role: Heavy Assault Battlecruiser / Fleet Escort
Armament
- 1x Matilija Aerospace ACS100 Anti-Capital Ship Cannon

Systems
- Sextant Assurance SG-1800 Shield Generator
- Matilija Aerospace Nebula SF3 Class C Grav Drive
- Avontech Deep Core Class C Reactor
Internal Layout
While more combat-focused than the Gravewind, the Deathwind still maintains a balanced operational structure capable of supporting extended patrols and frontline escort operations.
Major Sections
- Troop Deployment Bays supporting rapid combat mobilisation
- Dedicated Armory maintaining weapons readiness
- Infirmary and emergency response section
- Workstation supporting onboard maintenance and fabrication
- Living Quarters for sustained crew deployment
- Hydroponics Section assisting long-duration operations
The Deathwind was designed as a more aggressive counterpart to the Gravewind — a compact but heavily armed assault vessel capable of punching far above what most Class C ships are expected to handle.
The main goal with this fleet was trying to make the ships feel believable within Starfield’s universe — not just oversized weapons platforms, but vessels that actually feel operational, lived in, and capable of supporting large crews during extended deployments.
Now all we need is proper ship hangars and deployable shuttlecraft. Being able to leave capital ships like the Dreadmere in orbit while deploying smaller landing vessels planetside would genuinely complete the fleet experience.
Here’s hoping Bethesda — or the modding community — eventually makes it happen.
