How I tested and got Sword of the Morning - YMMV

Hello folks,

I've done some testing in the last couple weeks and I believe the Sword of the Morning Title to acquire Dawn, is a "weighted-chance" event. Sometimes you can have all the correct Traits and Numbers, but it still won't fire. Here is what you can do to get the minimum requirements, AND have the best weighted chance:

TRAITS/ABILITY SCORES

  1. You cannot have these Personality Traits: Greedy, Gluttonous, Lazy, Callous, Sadistic, Deceitful, Craven, Arbitrary

  2. You cannot have this Lifestyle Trait: Torturer

  3. You cannot have these Acquired Traits: Murderer, Kinslayer

  4. You have to have a positive Physique Congenital Trait, the higher the better

  5. You want to have: Brave (Just did not 100% help me when I only had that one, in fact it hurt my chances for whatever reason in one instance). Also any positive "Knightly" traits like Chaste, Forgiving, Honest, Compassionate seem to be good, too!

  6. You 100% need the level 4 Martial-Prowess education trait. The level 4 Martial education trait works to have as well, and having Aspiring Blademaster seems like a requirement now. Note: You do NOT want the 5th level versions of these education traits, it never worked for me. I know this is kind of luck of the draw since you get 2/3 of these upon gaining adulthood.

  7. You need to get the Squire trait and complete it before Age 16.

  8. I don't know what you EXACTLY need your Prowess to be at, but it needs to be at least 25 or more to get the event to fire.

  9. The Ambitious trait gives you a boost to getting it to fire.

Once you get the above, before age 16, I would create a game save file. If your game has a Sword of the Morning already, you will want them to be dead before you Age up. If a Lord of Torrentine has Dawn, but not the title, it's up for grabs.

So, your save file should have a 15 year old, with all the good traits and you just load until the head of House Dayne gives you the option upon getting age 16.
