Laser printer with long term savings and small projects

#What would you like to accomplish?

I want a printer with low maintenance, I print a few pages a month so a laser one would be cool for that. I recently have a project to print replacement labels for my retro games, so I'd need vibrant and saturated colors for small projects like these, I don't plan to print photos, posters etc... I read lasers are "low resolution", no Idea on how that would apply for me.

#Are there any models you are currently looking at?

No I'm just sick of my cheap inkjet HP printer, it cost an arm an ink because of how dry it gets and the result is not even that good. Canon or Brother would be preferred.

I saw some post claiming that on different Canon PIXMA like the G3430 I'm interested with, the colors can be washed out. I need to change a broken printer and I wanted to try an ecotank one. I plan to print labels for retro games with it, so I really need saturated and vibrant colors.

Can the PIXMA handle that ?
