As a non-fan who has been hooked to the recent drama in the ownership of your club, I was wondering why people are claiming Florentino Perez has made it «impossible to not always be reelected»? Given that he has once again called for a re-election, I am curious why this is taken to be so meaningless.

I am aware of the 20 years as a socio and net-worth requirements, which seem to be the key, but is it because there are simply no known competitors satisfying the requirements, or some hold he famously has on the electorate which means no competitor could conceivably beat him out? Something else?
