My mom got into a minor accident and 5 months later the other party has gotten a lawyer and saying they have injuries.

My mom was stopped at an intersection and dropped something, when she went to pick it up she accidentally let up on the brake and her car rolled forward and hit the car in front of her. She said that there was no damage but didn’t take a picture of the other car. Her insurance paid $1700 to fix his bumper. This was in January.

Now the other person has gotten legal representation and they sent a long letter to her insurance claims department stating that this person (5 months later) has migraines and neck pain as a result of the accident and they are plan on going for the full policy limit, in my mom’s case it’s $250,000. They also said they are going to try to get her cellphone usage data (to see if she was on her phone, I looked and she was not) and any other data from her car(but her car is from 2010 so I doubt it records anything).

The claims specialist said that they were definitely not going to be able to get the policy limit and that if it does go to court they will hire a lawyer etc. My mom had to sign a document to allow the insurance to release her policy limit information. They haven’t officially made their demand or sent any medical records or anything to the insurance company.

My question is what does she do now?
This guy is definitely full of it because at the speed they were going I doubt he had any injury. The claims specialist said if it went to court he’d be laughed at but I’m worried there will be negative ramifications for my mom.

TL:DR; my mom hit someone’s bumper at a low speed. Insurance already paid for the minor repairs. He has now gotten legal representation and is trying to get my mom’s full policy limit from her insurance for medical issues. Will this negatively affect my mom or is there anything we can do?

Frustrated by obvious double standards in the work place.

I started an internship doing graphic design last year and at the time there was another intern who is a male. I began noticing that the level of quality expected from me was not being expected from him. He also knew the department head previously because he was her student he is in grad school). While he's a nice guy and does do good work with video and photography, he very obviously uses AI for almost everything and when he is producing graphics too.

I was recently promoted to a permenant position because I do good work and I'm not in school anymore. The department head has made it very clear that I have to adhere to the brand guide and how she wants the asthetics of my designs to look, which isn't a problem (even though I would love to be more creative).

It annoys me though when the male intern "helps" me by making some designs (like for fliers and social media) because they are often with colors and fonts outside of the brand guide, very obviously AI generated and not the same aesthetic as what we had been instructed to create, but no one ever says ANYTHING to him. If I came up with the same thing they would make me change everything.

I am not sure if I should bring this up or be a good girl and keep my mouth shut. Honestly this job is mostly so I can get experience on my resume, but I don't want potential future employers to see his work on our socials and think that's something I created.

EDIT/UPDATE: I forgot to mention that the worst part is that the entire department except for him is all women! They don't even realize they are bing misogynistic.
