What happened to MS Girls? (Machu X GQuuuuuuX)

I decided to make an MS Girl out of Machu and HG GQuuuuuuX. And I searched a lot of different terms on the Gunpla subs to help with some ideas but got nothing. (Maybe there’s a term I’m missing?) I’m just glad I kept an image off Twitter to help instead.

Does anyone else got any MS Girls built? I’d love to see them for some inspiration.

The MG Vidar Has Taught Me So Much Over My Time With It

I’ve put so much time into this model in particular dude….

When I first built it, I painted some parts (terribly in retrospect) because I thought it’d be cool. Back then I didn’t even have alligator clips, or a single paint brush. So I was using metallic gundam markers. (I was also using chip clips tied to a coat hanger to dry them lmao)

Later on, I decided to try installing mini magnets in the base of the pilot figure/hand because it kept falling out. After I did that, I noticed the base now resembled a rock, so I decided to try painting it.

After I bought some fluorescent paint, I decided to paint the visor, and do a wash on the base.

I later decided to try to increase the stability of the trigger hand since it was the one that suffered from the magnet the most. I used an old runner bit to create an extra peg.

And recently, I stripped all that old paint off and decided to detail it properly now that I’m better with a brush (and that I actually had some). I painted the red on the wires, gold on the pistons/chest piece, and gunmetal on the thruster verniers.

This Vidar really has been an unintentional vector for progress in me. I’m genuinely happy for what it’s helped me learn, and I’m excited to see if it has anything left to teach me.

Full Collection Update, Cause Why Not?

The lighting from the Sun was good today so I thought I’d take a few collection photos.
