I have been wanting to build Runner holder for awhile, I feel like such a waste of plastic if I had to throw everything away. so I have been hoarding leftovers runner since I started last year thinking to build something with it. and this is my first complete projects.
kindly rate my runner organizer. what can I improve on my next project.
im thinking to make v2 of this woth more symmetrical finish. and perhaps some kind of gundam hangar
This is an example of a light up saber with blades, but where can someone find SB-13 blades in different colors? Is there a 3rd party shop, does china have them, etc? Thank you for any answers. I've been looking for a while and I basically haven't found anything.
I think its gonna go well. First time doing a full paint job, working with what I've got to see what to improve either on .material or technique. I need better brushes and paints, for a smoother job that is for sure. But itll look a bit worn when it all comes together and I think itll be cool as hell
First pic is built, second is my backlog. Words cannot describe how excited I am for the Tallgeese and Sazabi.
Plastic addiction is very real
So, I have three of these.
The standard, the polarized and the G3. I elected to build this one first, as it was a Christmas present and here we are 7 months later lol
Issues?
Well, I had to have a friendly chat to some of the head pieces and one arm is floppier than I'd like, but goodness if it doesn't look amazing.
I also painted the eyes and head cameras, because the stickers are shit and I abhor LED gimmicks.
Water slides and DDB Corgi hyper bazooka to follow.
Wanted to show off some of my favorite bois (Gouf, Zaku I and Zaku II)
Some of my favorites to pose and play with.
Any particular favorites you all have or like specifically?
We got button trigger LEDs, some pilot figures and expanding armor like pgu gramps. And some clear parts. It looks so glorious!
Just bought Daban's PGU RX 78 2 and so far, i am overwhelmed with the runner count. The biggest runner count kit i built so far is the sazabi, seen way up there in the photo, though i know it's normal given the grade. I also want to add that this big boi is my 15th gunpla, and i don't really consider myself as smn who can build gunpla that good yet, so I'm hoping for some advice on a kit this caliber. Much appreciated, fellow plastic crack addicts!
Im just getting back into gunpla and im looking for a harute I saw this but idk if its good
Back in April I realized I need a better way of storing my tools than cardboard catfood pallets. I had ordered my girlfriend a set of drawers (per her request) from this company called Bisley, and when I looked through their color options, I realized I could Frankenstein together a color combo that nodded to Gundam colors.
Figuring the worst they could say was no, I sent an email to Support for a custom order request, and this was part of the exchange. They said they could fulfill the request with a 10-14 week lead time.
The drawers arrived today unexpectedly. It came in two boxes because instead of removing the white drawers and placing the colored ones themselves, they chose to send me a whole set of white drawers and then the individual colored drawers. I switched the red and yellow from my original mockup because I think it looks better and is more reminiscent of Grandpa's chestpiece.
The normal drawers are usually $123 before shipping and I knew there'd be an upcharge. I'd set a personal limit of $200 with shipping. It ended up costing $182 total ($165 before shipping).
I'm pretty stoked and I can't wait for my girlfriend to see it when she wakes up.
Not sure what to do with the spare white drawers though...
Hope I can get the G-base exclusive hyaku shiki soon to replace my old one.
This one had been in the backlog for a bit. Finally got to it this week and man this was a fun build, but this is a gorgeous kit! This is a big boy too, just the mech is large, pictured with FatCat for reference, but then add in the wings and all of a sudden shelf space was at a premium.
This was a good build experience but there are a couple important things to be aware of going in, the gold is painted on and as when you airbrush, the parts have a tight fit. There is a ton of undergating as one would expect, but with the gold being painted this means you see the gray underneath from the nub marks, highly recommend the metallic gold Gundam marker for touch up, but most of the spots are hidden once the build is completed. The main one is the V-fin that needed touch up. These are not cons to me but may be to you so wanted to mention them.
This is my second Mecha Core kit, I previously built the Charon. I definitely like their stuff and need to take a look at the ixchel. Hope they have some new kits in the works and not just more recolors.
Got this 1/100 kit online for 20 quid with free shipping. Absolutely hated building it, the tolerances were awful making it extremely frustrating to put together. Ended up just cutting and snapping (with the help of some pliers to force some pieces together) so please ignore the nub marks haha. Parts had a lot of overspill(?) from the casting process that required cleanup, and some strange staining on some parts?
It did come with a stand, but it wasn't adjustable, and if you pose it in basically any actiony way it just flops forwards (I ended up gluing some metal chain links on the bottom to weigh it down)
The water slide decals were pretty good quality but there was zero guide on how to apply them in the manual, which was just printer paper stapled together 😭
Even with all the issues, I kind of fell in love with the design and decided to finish it with a layer of top coat.
I wouldn't buy this again.. there's a reason bandai is on top and the quality shows in the building process, but she is a pretty kit now that she's finished!
Got my favorite MS from the Gundam Base pop up in Orlando 😃 waiting on the waterslide decals to come in so I can finish this baby off
