Mature age applicant wanting to apply for electrician apprenticeship in syd, looking for advice🙏

Hi everyone, thanks for reading. Currently a theatre nurse and wanting to change career. I've already obtained my White Card and applied for electrician apprenticeships with Endeavour Energy, Ausgrid, and Transgrid. Not sure if any of the GTO’s are worth applying for, like NECA, Zeal futures.

I’ve read that most successful applicants hold a Cert II in Electrotechnology. If I don't secure an apprenticeship in the late 2026/early 2027 rounds, should my next step be completing the Cert II then try apply big company again? Or I should apply for small company?

Would EPW over and under 11 cert make me a more hireable applicant? Or it’s not big of a deal for general electrician stream.

Transitioning from theatre nurse to software engineer/developer

Hi all, hope you are all well. Thank you for your time taken to read this post. I am planning to enrol into unsw’s master of information technology(heard that its a good postgrad if you dont have any prior stem experience), but unsure which specialisation I should pick. I am deciding between artificial intelligence and information technology. Anyone have did or heard this course before or any current SWE can suggest or guide me if I am going the right path?
