Im looking to try and split the office section of my living room so it’s not a focal point after work but want to also make sure natural light from the only window in the room is not blocked

I’m thinking of getting an ikea 2x4 kallax on its side with wicker baskets in the bottom row and some plants etc on top to divide it. Also considering to get a bookcase / shelves like this to put next to the sofa and put plants / lamp etc

I think I’ve made a mistake getting black furniture but a bit committed now and need decorations for the wall. The room feels less depressing than the pictures look 😂

Would love some suggestions, thanks
