Anyone else waking up aggressively early?

I had been on citalopram 10mg for 9 and a half years and I stopped in January of 2026. I was feeling good and was feeling some side effects from the citalopram and wanted to quit. Fast forward to may. The start of may I started to feel anxious a bit and then it was debilitating. I couldn’t eat, drink or function, I was trying to take care of my 2 toddlers alone while my husband was working late hours. I went back on citalopram for a few days and then was just not having a good time so finally ended up going to the er after i dropped the kids at daycare one day and was hooked up to iv fluids for dehydration and was put on Wellbutrin 150 XL.
I feel like i started to feel better by day 2 or 3 of taking it. I don’t know if it was all in my head or not but I was able to go to in person meetings a few days after starting. I had a lot of help from my family cooking us supper and helping me with the kids so that was also a plus to the shitty time.
Now I’m almost 3 weeks in taking it, I wake up at 530 am every single day. Doesn’t matter what time I go to bed or not but I’m up and awake. I can’t get back to sleep and sometimes I have the anxiety put in my stomach but it’s getting better every day.

Does anyone have any tips for the waking up early? Has anyone else suffered from this?

Hi all! I was on citalopram 10mg for the last 9 years. I stopped taking it in January of this year and then have had a few moments of anxiety and then these last 5 days have been horrible with like crippling anxiety, not sure if I’m going to barf, pass out or start crying. It’s been affecting my eating and my digestive system. I have twin toddlers to look after as well basically alone as dad works long days.
I’m wondering if anyone has experience stopping for 3-4 months and starting again and if there was much side effects ? Or if you just started feeling better right away (hoping that lol)
