Halloween 5

What’s going on with Michael’s back at the beginning of 5. Is it a floatation device for his back floating down the river? Maybe it’s the anchor to keep him safe for filming. I’m rewatching it for the first time in ages and I never noticed that before.

Follow up

For some reason I cannot post the pictures from Spirit Halloween on my original thread https://www.reddit.com/r/MichaelMyersMasks/s/9BXh5PbleU

So here are the masks they have and why I say they are poor quality

First three pictures are my $17 Amazon mask
Second 3 are the 1978 mask
Third 3 are the H2 mask

I’m not a mask expert, just seasonal hobby and a fan of the Halloween franchise. So maybe you guys see differences that I don’t this is just my opinion.

OSA secondary to PTSD denied, open for suggestions

The VA denied my OSA claim secondary to service-connected PTSD. I submitted a private medical opinion, but the decision only acknowledges receiving it without explaining how it was weighed. The VA examiner stated there is an association between PTSD and OSA but no established causal relationship. I’m also concerned that the decision did not adequately address whether my PTSD worsened my OSA.
I’m waiting for my veterans benefits counselor to review everything and get back to me. In the meantime, I’m just open to ideas, interpretations, and suggestions based on the attached redacted decision. Does anything stand out to you, and would you consider an HLR or a supplemental claim?

Need help with reduction/denial

Looking for some opinions from anyone who’s dealt with similar situations or has experience with VA ratings.
I recently received a partial decision on my claim. My OSA secondary to PTSD was deferred pending another medical opinion, so that issue is still open.
Here’s what was decided:

Right knee PFS (10%) was reduced to 0%.
VA granted a separate 10% for right knee limitation of extension.

Left knee remained at 10%.

Right and left RLS were both continued at 0%, stating “asymptomatic incomplete paralysis.”

My overall rating went to 90% from my Intent to File date (March 6, 2026), then back to 80% effective July 1, 2026, because of the knee change.

A few things I’m lost on

RLS: During my C&P, I explained that I have symptoms every night in both legs. They wake me up 2–3 times a night, I have to get out of bed and walk around, I’ve tried multiple medications and supplements, and it affects my wife because the movements wake her up too. The decision still says “asymptomatic incomplete paralysis.” I’m waiting on the DBQs to see exactly what the examiner documented.

Meniscus: I specifically claimed separate bilateral meniscal residuals from documented in-service meniscus surgeries. My decision discusses limitation of flexion and extension, but I don’t see any discussion of DC 5258 or 5259 or whether separate meniscal ratings were considered. Has anyone seen VA simply not address that part of a claim?

2016 effective date: My original knee ratings date back to 2016, and my surgeries and meniscal injuries were documented then. I argued that the residuals should go back to that original claim, but the decision just used my March 6, 2026 Intent to File date without discussing my earlier effective date argument.

Right knee reduction: My original 10% right knee rating had been in effect since 2016 (almost 10 years). The VA reduced it to 0% while granting 10% for limitation of extension. Does 38 CFR 3.344 come into play here since the original rating was in effect well over five years?

My plan right now is to wait until the OSA claim is finalized before taking any action. I’ve already requested copies of my knee and neurological DBQs so I can compare what the examiners documented with the rating decision.

Based on what I’ve described, would you be looking at:
a Higher-Level Review,
a Supplemental Claim,
or am I overthinking some of these issues?
