How did you know if a medication was right or wrong for you?

I’m recently diagnosed at 33, and have been prescribed Adderall 10mg. People in my family and friends don’t think I have adhd, which has me wondering if I made this all up. The Adderall has significantly reduced my anxiety which has been the most obvious effect.

Also is every pharmacist/ doctor’s office going to treat me like a drug addict from now on? My actual doctor is the kindest human but everyone else seems to treat me like a drug addict.
