Hey lovelies: Seriously, how do you deal with the enraged hangry feeling of a calorie deficit?

Just like the title says. Please help with with your suggestions. I’m trying to lose **25** kg (I’m currently at 91 kg and 5’9) it’ll be no surprise to anyone that’s it’s hard. As a toddler mom that that works long days in healthcare, time is a precious commodity. I’ve been trying to start small with realistic steps.

- Staying hydrated by meeting my water goal every day. I’ve heard this helps you feel satiated. Also, water just makes everything better.

- Getting enough sleep. Challenging but I’m choosing early sleep over relaxing screen time.

- Realistic activity goals (starting from purely sedentary lifestyle). Completing 1 cardio workout every weekend and tracking progress.

- Attempting to maintain a 150 calorie/day deficit. Basal rate calculated as 1327, so sedentary maintenance multiplier of 1.2 = 1592 calories daily. Subtracting 150 calories per day gives me a 1440 goal.

This calorie part seems like a realistic goal to me, but this is the part that seems impossible so far! It’s making me so irrationally irritated (and sad and tired) until I eat my next portion. If I eat when I start to feel like this (to stop overreacting later with way too much food), i end the day feeling irritated again and it’s so much harder to start again the next day. I can’t afford to be hangry like this at my work, or at home with my little one. What’s the point of this journey if I feel like crap the whole time? I need energy, and that’s one of my main reasons for trying to lose the weight. Am I alone in this experience? What am I doing wrong here? It’s so demoralizing.

Thanks for reading and I hope you have a beautiful day.

Edit: corrected weight loss goal and added current metrics. I’m so sorry I don’t know how I typed 60 kg. The goal is to reach 66 kg (IBW for my height and weight) which means losing 25 kg. Does that make my daily calorie needs more accurate? For my BMR I used my coloring tracking app and backed it up with a Yolanda scale that has body composition analyzer. They were very close numbers. I’m currently at 91 kg and 5’9.
