Pc fails to boot with 3080 but boots with rx 580 just fine.
Ive had my pc for about 2 years now. Back in Janurary I bout a used refurbished EVGA RTX 3080 from ebay at 300$ i also got a be quiet 850w power supply.
Both worked great in my pc and i had zero issues with it. But my cpu temps were getting a little high so I decided to change my thermal paste and clean my pc. I use zero condensed air and didnt even touch the gpu. I use a toothbrush to clean the fins on my cpu cooler, resembled the whole system and just like that the pc wont post and the vga light hangs.
I tried updating my bios which didnt work and shortly after my bios on my old motherboard corrupted so I bought a new refurbished asus tuf gaming wifi II then swapped everything to that motherboard. Still no post.
I picked up a old rx 580 from a friend and the pc booted emedietly and I configured the bios and updated windows checked my driver's then plugged the 3080 back in and I still have the same issue. Ive tried different ram different slots both pcie slots different power supplies diff motherboards and different bioses.
