Sapulpa, Oklahoma
We've just been through Sapulpa today and stopped off at Gasoline Alley and met the owner Mike.
It is a new store and situated just off the route, but we were given a really warm welcome and Mike is really enthusiastic about Route 66. His building has some interesting stuff.
Well worth a stop.
Charities donating to political causes
I was having a dig around the latest report from the Fabians Society (a think tank that work closely with the Labour party to promote socialism), and noticed a list of donations on page 39.
This includes donations from Save the Children, Age UK and the Trussel Trust. All charities I believe.
Is it right that charities donate to politically based organisations?
Midpoint installation between Wellstone and Warwick OK
Pin marking the midpoint of Route 66 in Oklahoma.
We are currently in Arizona and we're hoping to visit the Petrified Forest National Park.
However, we have been advised as non US residents, entrance to a National Park now includes a $250 non resident fee.
Obviously we are not going to pay this.
Can anyone confirm.
