Unique Kindergarten program
I live in a suburb of a large northern California city. My daughter is in Transitional Kindergarten (Pre-K) this year, but next year she'll continue in the same classroom, with the same teacher, and half of the same kids. The program is a fully outdoor, hybrid TK/K mixed age class at a public Waldorf charter school. She attends in-person 3 days a week, and we homeschool 2 days a week, with curriculum provided by her teacher. I'm curious what other parents think of this kind of program or the kind of families who choose to attend these alternative schools?
If anyone has any questions for me about the program, I'd be happy to answer. I am an early childhood specialist, and I appreciate the delayed academics, nature-focus, and screen-free elements of the program so much!
