Someone stole my account, but should I even bother getting it back?
My email got compromised and I luckily got it back after a day. The hacker had methodically changed the password and emails of all the accounts he could. I recovered my email and secured it. I recovered all the important accounts, but today I got an email that my apple account email was changed.
In their advice on what to do, it says I should login and change my password, which I cannot do because my email was changed. Cant use the «forgot password« either for same reason. No support email address in sight.
On the other hand I havent used an apple product in 8 years. How much damage could they even do with my account if I dont have any unexpired cards attached to it?
I was thinking of buying some airpods later this year so I thought of registering a new account but it says I cant use that mail address because now its unavailable? So wtf its not associated with an account but now its taken anyway?
