Anyone recognize this unusual 1960s elastic leather watch strap?
I have a vintage Philos automatic with an ETA 2452, probably late 50s/60s, mounted with a very unusual strap.
The strap is:
- thin black leather,
- elastic/stretch underneath,
- permanently fixed to the watch,
- forms a zig-zag/accordion pattern when relaxed,
- closes with a sliding toothed clasp instead of a buckle.
There’s also a tiny logo that looks like:
G [goat/ibex] F
Has anyone seen this type of strap before or recognized the maker/logo? Could it be original period equipment or original from Philos? Is it rare with a very decent leather, fully usable?
