Just wondering what people's thoughts are.
Went to my first calling this weekend and it a little felt hollow the hall was to big and not enough decorated to make it feel "special". It felt more like a sales event. I had fun and will go again but some of the things left a sour taste.
Why was there no merch stand with some t-shirts or so to buy. The artist was lost in a corner, no real designated area for pick up games / trading cards. There was nothing to do in-between scheduled events besides checking the 3 card traders and the artist which is done in day 1. No cos play.
No incentive in staying in the calling the moment you know you don't go to day 2.
A friend of mine signed up for a side event and got two byes allocated in consecutive rounds.
The price wall ran out of compendium boxes by Saturday evening. What's the point in saving tix for 3 days just to come to a wall where the things you wanted to get aren't there any more. This pushes people into buying tix which I thought was against the spirit of tix.
Not sure how much of this is due to fanfinity and how much comes from lss.
