Am I cooking with gas?
Mortar deck I've been climbing with. Never seen someone using a similar deck, but it works quite well for me.

The pods are nice and juicy with a bit of sweetness when picked just ripe enough. Its my first time trying to pickle them and I wonder if someone has tried it and how it turned out.
Recipe:

-Walking onions bulblets

I think it might be parsnip (someone would have left some flower last year), but the purple-ish base is throwing me of (hope its not poison hemlock). It doesn't look like the characteristic purple splurges found on poison hemlock stems, and the leaves look more like parsnip, but I want to be sure. Also, in spring, I found some mature parsnip that overwintered in the garden, wich reinforces the idea that it might be parsnip.
