I keep building systems instead of actually publishing

I have been planning content for months and barely publishing.

The annoying part is that I am not short on ideas. I have drafts for X, Reddit, Instagram, portfolio updates, and notes for things I want to talk about.

But I think I keep treating content like an engineering problem.

Whenever the next step is simple, like posting something or replying to people, I somehow find a technical task that feels more comfortable:

- improve the content tracker

- clean up the journal

- organize the backlog

- refine the workflow

- make the dashboard cleaner

- research one more platform strategy

Those things are useful, but if nothing gets published, they are also a very clean way to avoid doing the visible work.

So this week I am trying one rule:

Do the visible task first. Improve the system after.

For example:

- publish before improving the content calendar

- comment before researching another platform

- send the message before redesigning the tracker

- record the video before planning the editing workflow

Has anyone else dealt with this?

How do you stop turning execution into another planning project?
