Today I had a really scary moment while riding my bike near Vaishnodevi bridge on SG Highway (Ahmedabad).

I was going around 50 km/h at night and suddenly there was a thick metal chain lying right in the middle of the road — the kind trucks use to secure loads. Because of the darkness, I couldn’t see it in time and it went straight under my bike.

For a split second, I thought I was going to lose control and crash. Luckily, I managed to stay balanced and didn’t skid.

Honestly, this wasn’t even rider error — it was a random road hazard. If that chain had gotten stuck in the wheel, it could’ve ended really badly.

Just posting this as a reminder:

Be extra careful while riding at night

Watch the road ahead closely

You never know what might be lying on the road

Feeling grateful that I’m safe today 🙏
