Will it be possible to play by connecting two cell phones to the same game on PS2?

Hi, I'm not a native English speaker, I'm using a translator, so please excuse my writing.

We know that with the PS2, we could connect two consoles with a cable so each person could play on their own console and screen, while still being on the same home internet network.

I haven't found much information about this, but current cell phones have internet access and the ability to share Wi-Fi. However, I haven't seen anyone do this, or even if it's possible, but... if both people have the PS2 emulator and the same game, could they each play on their phones while being in the same game, like with the physical PS2? This would avoid having to use two controllers for a single phone when I want to play with someone, allowing each person to be on their own screen but playing the same offline game using the internet. I haven't seen any videos or information about this, and I'd like to know if anyone has managed to do it.

With the latest update for the PS2 emulator on Android, we now have the opportunity to play online, which is fantastic. But that detail alone got me wondering if we can take advantage of this method and play offline, but with both phones connected?
