Most cost effective way to find birth/death documents?
Last winter, Canada changed their laws to allow for anybody who has an ancestor born in Canada to claim citizenship. I am interested in getting Canadian citizenship and I have always known that my grandmother's grandmother was born in Canada. I have a name, but I have no documents. Would any of you recommend a DNA test to connect with distant relatives who might have this documentation? If so, which one should I buy?
