I have a 2020 SE (2nd Gen) that overheats specifically when I'm doing all 3 of these things at once: using maps for navigation, podcast playing, and plugged in the car all at the same time (i.e. long road trip situation). I take it out of the case, put in a cooler spot, use low battery mode, and unplug as much as possible, but it still gets really hot. I had the battery replaced last year and it didn't fix it. Is this an unavoidable issue? Would a newer iphone improve this? I have no other complaints about the phone so i only want to replace if it will actually fix the problem. The maps and podcasts and charging are all pretty essential to my road trips, and I have a couple coming up.
