HI fellow subbies,

I just started with ESS as a substitute. They vaguely mentioned something about 'benefits', which I found curious as it's just a part time job.

However I'm getting emails from 'Omega Benefits Strategies' telling me to 'make an appointment with a counselor' and that 'benefits' need to be deducted from a checking account or CC. These emails are worded as 'urgent' immediate action type things. If I don't call immediately, I could 'lose' the benefits etc.

Has anyone else experienced this ? Is anyone enrolled in benefits with ESS?

I really don't see how any 401K could make any difference given the tiny amounts they're paying you.......it's also a little dubious to me that they're being auto payed separately out of a CC - instead of just deducted from your payroll in the usual fashion. Seems a bit scammy to me.

What do you guys think? Has anyone had any expense with this ?
