Got this knife like 6-7 years ago as a kid and promptly forgot about it. Recently found it again but it had these spots on the blade that don’t wipe/scrub off. Using rubbing alcohol helped a bit.

Maybe a dumb question… is it just rust?😅

Just wondering if it’s something to worry about and how to prevent it worsening . Thx!
