When life gives you lemons, steal some oranges
Gor these Klipsch "The Sixes" for free from my buddy, the Left channel amp somehow died completely taking out both tweeter and woofer. Klipsch told him the amps werent designed to be worked on and no replacements exist. He bought some KEF Metas to replace them.
So what now? Remembered that this JVC head unit has built in DSP crossovers so have the front outs powering the woofers and the rear outs powering the tweeters, with the digital crossover set to 1600hz(I think thats the factory turnover) and a 12db slope. The idea here is that I can make the heaviest, most convoluted bluetooth speaker.
It sounds pretty good, but I did try in earnest to fix the amps with some old sprague components that tested good I had lying around. While I didn't make it worse, I also was not able to improve the situation, so the surface mount components that were ate up by the glue werent the cause of the fault.
