[TOMT] actor with shoulder length dark hair and dark eyebrows

I am trying to figure out a show or movie I watched and the actor in it within the last 6 months or so. The actor had shoulder length dark hair that appeared greasy, dark eyebrows and he was pale. He was always pushing the hair away from his face. I remember him wearing button up shirts and nicer pants and carrying a messenger bag. He was younger, late 20s early 30s. He was like a rule follower and the other character that I think was a woman was pushing his boundaries and getting them both into trouble? This is driving me crazy because I don’t watch much but I can never remember what I watched! I went back through all my streaming services and nothing was popping up in my “continue watching” that seemed familiar. I know it’s not a lot to go on but it’s definitely a newer show or movie so I’m hoping maybe somebody recognizes what I’m talking about!
