Hi all. I’m considering this with an ETrailer Hitch. This is to tow a small <1000 lb. Boat and trailer. It’s a 11’ Porta Bote ~200lbs. On a single jet ski trailer 1500llb axle. 1.25” receiver. I’m choosing 2”receiver so can occasionally use bike or tray hitch. Thoughts? Experiences?

Does anyone place layers underneath? Like reflectix or closed cell foam like a yoga mat? Or both?
I have a new to me SmittyBilt Gen1 RTT. The black cover has some tears that apparently soak through though I didn’t think it made it through to the vulcanized side. Mattress was wet all along top exposed side.
Are there replacement covers or a patch that works. Am open to all ideas. Thank you.
