New Robo - your experiences
A long time ago (2018) i bought a Roborock S5 Sweep One. A great device besides of the sweeping function. We used it like two times and then detatched the sweeping part and just used it purely as a vacuum. I also had to replace the LDS Motor once which was very easy.
Currently its used only for one room because we got a dog and child. The dust container ist full after a week, mostly dog hair (Goldie) and it would be full every day if i would let it run in the whole apartement (it seems the dogfood is completely transferred into fur production). I thought about an upgrade for the S5 to let it clean the whole apartment again. We have mostly laminate floor - one small carpet.
It seems that there are no decent robots without sweeping function. Is it finally ok? It doesn't have to be perfect but what are your experiences?
We have very hard water - could this be a problem for the tanks in case i would buy one with sweeping function?
I thought about buying a robot with dust extraction into the docking station. Im a bit concerned about the dust bags and the capacity - if this would end in buying a bag for every week im out - or can the containers be also used without?
My current favourites are Roborock Qrevo Edge // Edge 2 // Q10 S5 or S5+
