We all know that in Central Europe, the trick-taking card game category of *Tarokk* is still being played [games such as Königrufen, Paskievics, Strohmandeln]. However, I read in this wikipedia article and this linked page [https://i-p-c-s.org/problist.html\] that there existed a 73 card variant produced by Piatnik circa 1930.

It consisted of the usual 32 Austrian suits [the French Suited cards, which only include the Red Ace to Six or Black Seven to Ten, the Valets, the Cavaliers, the Queens and the Kings] and 40 Minchiate-esque cards with the Fool [the Sküs].

Minchiate is of Italian origin. It is among the supposedly dead tarot games, as nobody plays it aside from academics and restorers. It has the usual 78 cards plus an addition 19, resulting in a gargantuan 97 card deck. The game itself is very interesting, and if one wishes to learn it, please visit https://www.pagat.com/tarot/minchiate.html! It is very odd, however, to see it in Central European circulation due to the fact that it lost relevance even in Italy before Piatnik printed it.

Does anybody have any pictures of this elusive deck? Does anyone have any idea what this deck could have been used for? And how did the game of Gallerini diffuse to Vienna, where it came into production by Piatnik?

[The picture shown is an example of an Austrian, possibly Viennese, or German Tarokk deck. This particular deck may have been printed by Piatnik as a facsimile set.]
