Has anyone else experienced a friend acting like this? need advice

Has anyone else had a friend completely change after finally getting a decent rating?

One of my buddies was hardstuck 1800 in arenas for years, Every season... like literally since WOD. Then this season he hits 2300 in Solo Shuffle and suddenly he's become the world's foremost PvP authority.

The problem isn't that he got 2300. Good for him, genuinely. The problem is that he now talks down to literally everyone in our friend group as if he's achieved Rank 1. Every discussion turns into him explaining why everyone else is wrong, every loss is someone else's fault, and every disagreement gets dismissed as "cope."

We've tried explaining that Solo Shuffle and coordinated 3s are very different environments, and that this season's Shuffle ladder is probably the most inflated it's ever been. Not saying 2300 is free, because it obviously isn't, but he acts like it automatically makes him better than everyone who's played arenas for years.

At this point he's alienated multiple people in our group. Nobody wants to queue with him because every conversation somehow comes back to his rating. It's gone from being funny to genuinely exhausting.

So I'm curious: have you guys ever seen someone get a bit of success in WoW PvP and completely lose perspective? Is there any way to bring them back to reality, or do you just nod along while they explain how their 2300 Shuffle rating means they're God's gift to PvP?

Maybe I'm the one coping, but man it's getting hard to listen to.

Is enhance sham still in a decent spot?

I mained Enh sham all through SL and DF. Didn't play it at all in TWW as I just didn't like the playstyle.

I saw it was broken in early days of the xpac that was according to some bug but its since been fixed, now people in shaman discord are saying its dog tier.

Anyone who actually plays it can sort of elaborate or explain if it's good or not and if so, what the best build/playstyle is in SS or 3s?

Thanks
