Anyone Wear Just One Hearing Aid?

It crossed my mind that with moderate hearing loss, you can get by with just one hearing aid, which feels a little less intrusive. Just wondering if anyone does this. I am told by my audiologist, that there wouldn't be the full cognitive effect of retraining hearing, but it appears to work okay for hearing most conversations.

Sore at Opening of Ear Canal Was from Zeal LED Indicator Rubbing Up

So here's my contribution to the Zeal disco. I had a tiny sore at the portal of ear canal and couldn't figure out what it was---I thought it could be something like an ingrown hair getting irritated and posted here about it, to middling and unhelpful responses. As I am still in my trial period, when I went to my audiologist this week, they deduced that it appeared to be a very minor abrasion from the LED indicator light, which protrudes slightly against the surface of the zeal microphone. I initially had a little bit of something like that in my left ear when I began using the zeals, but it went away in a day or two. This has persisted a bit longer, because it's the right side, and thus my right hand is a limited and I have to rely on my left to guide it and this could be leading to a more clumsy entry. Almost as soon as I followed the audiologists advice to pull out on my earlobe to open up the space as a I insert, the very slight discomfort alleviated considerably. If people like, I'll update on what happened with this but I expect it to subside now that I'm being more careful about placement.

Ingrown Hair at Opening of Ear Canal Making Zeal Use Awkward

Hey there, this is a question for community overall...been trying out the zeal and in one ear its fine, but I think in the other, I've developed an ingrown hair right at the opening of the ear canal and its uncomfortable to use. Anyone had this problem with a hearing aid? Tips? Confirmation its an ingrown hair? Wondering if it could be something else too.
