Charlie my Monstera is growing new leaves but also has dying leaves
Hello all, thank you for taking the time to even read my post and try to help me save my plant Charlie. Okay so he has a new leaf that Is growing up top. But also leaves that are dying down at the bottom. For some time I had moved him to my room and so I’m thinking he wasn’t getting enough light so I moved him back to where I’ve had him since I got him. Please don’t judge I am new to being a plant mom and this is the longest I’ve had a plant baby. The sticks supporting him standing up are chopsticks. From my research I should switch those to bamboo sticks asap. Before he got sick an employee at Home Depot recommended I switch him from the generic soil he came home in to the one in the last picture. I’ve had him many months and never changed his pot. How will I know if maybe he needs more room? His pot does have drainage at the bottom. I only water him when I stick my finger in his pot and it comes out completely dry. Any recommendations for artificial lights I can buy to get him to stay in my room with me if that’s the suspected issue? Should I snip the brown leaves and if so how? I also haven’t been talking to him lately due to depression and being in bed. That’s why I tried to move him to my room so maybe that’s part of the reason. I used to talk to him daily in the am and during my meals. I was thinking to buy him a buddy to live next to and hopefully that could help him as well. Please ask as many questions as you may need to help me, thank you again for reading!
