Help advance addiction research! Anonymous family-history survey for adults with current/former substance or behavioral addiction (Americans 18+ w/ detailed family addiction history knowledge)

I'm recruiting participants for a University of Kentucky research study on how genetic, environmental, and family-history factors influence addiction.
This study is not limited to drug or alcohol addiction. We are also interested in behavioral addictions and related compulsive behaviors, including gambling, sex, porn, shopping, shoplifting, eating disorders, internet/social media use, and other addictive or compulsive patterns.
We are looking for Americans who:
• Are 18 or older
• Have a current or former addictive disorder
• Have thorough knowledge of their family’s addiction history
The survey is anonymous and takes about 15–20 minutes. There is no financial incentive, but participation can help researchers better understand how addiction risk develops across families and may contribute to more targeted prevention and intervention strategies.
As someone in recovery myself, I know these experiences can be difficult to talk about and are often surrounded by stigma. That is exactly why research like this matters. Every completed survey helps us better understand addiction in a way that reflects real people, real families, and real lived experience.
