New Kitbash WIP
This little fella is all about the guns. Big guns. Has been very difficult to balance and glue but I'm having fun with it.

I have finished all my available necrons and am now in pregnant pause awaiting the delivery of my Canoptek Doomstalker. I have finished all my pieces so far, and going as far as to design some rudimentary base terrain, I was going for a red planet/nuclear winter vibe but this is my first ever foray into 40K and i am pretty much self taught and learning as I go.
As for design wise, I have focused on a main palette theme, Red, Gold and green, with some leadbelcher to break up the gaps.
For my Overlords and Imotekh I have tried to Main gold and use red for accents, in order to create a sort of Egyptian Centurion vibe.
You may spot the odd kitbash or additional flair on a few pieces, but nothing so radical as to undo any logic with the pieces should I use them for competition, they're just a bit extra spicy.
Honest opinions welcome, I cannot wait to assemble my next piece.
My army (so far) is fully assembled and painted. I have a long way to go yet. But here is everything I own so far.
Referring to an earlier post.
I finished him and he is glorious.
Long story short, my first kitbash was of a Necron warrior turned berserker, which became a paint experiment for me in the early days. In my naivety i used white spirit to clean the figure and strip the paint right back, which melted my little guy into a mush. But i had a more pressing dilemma... i only had 19 warriors and a clump of spare warrior parts, not enough to make a whole one.
So i improvised this little bugger. He will lead my squad, with 3 guns, 2 heads and an exposed torso, and a winning smile.
Now he just needs to cure and dry, and tomorrow i will spray my primer and tomorrow eve, he shall wear the colours of my beautiful undead army.
Kitbashed 2 Flayed ones by welding Gauss Flayers to their twisted spines!
I started a Necron detachment a short while ago as my first foray into W40K and this is where i'm at so far.
I am going for a consistent pallete of Red, silver, gold and green, and have experimented with base textures, some earlier builds using real soil and PVA with paint, and later models relying on the faster technique of using textured paints and a red overlay. The bases are just for uniform purposes and may be subject to change later, but for now I am pretty happy with what I have achieved so far.
I have a few more warriors and flayed ones to paint, and assemble. A little birdie tells me that my fiance has some more models lined up for my anniversary next week so hopefully this collection will expand. I've never played but I am working towards a 2000 point army on the off chance i get a game in my future but for now I'm happy to assemble and design my own zombie terminator army.
