I’m developing a multiplayer space strategy game in public beta, inspired by browser strategy classics but built from scratch / ALERYOS
Hi everyone,
I wanted to share a project I’ve been working on for a while: Aleryos, a multiplayer space strategy game currently in public beta.
The game is built on some foundations that many browser strategy players will recognize: planet development, resource management, research, fleets, espionage, alliances, exploration and wars between players in a persistent universe.
But the goal is not to simply recreate the old classics. I’m trying to build a game with its own identity and more modern strategic depth, especially through systems that change the way players approach progression and conflict.
Aleryos was built from scratch. Even though I use AI as part of my development workflow, I’m putting a lot of care into the UI, the visual direction and the overall player experience. I know there are more and more quick clones of classic browser strategy games appearing lately, often reusing the same mechanics or feeling unfinished. That’s not what I’m trying to do here: I want Aleryos to feel like a real game with its own systems, not just a reskin of something that already exists.
For example, Aleryos has a modular ship system. Instead of only producing fixed units, players can design their own ships using different chassis, hulls, reactors, weapons and shields. The idea is that each fleet should reflect a real strategic doctrine, not just a higher number of units.
There is also a system called Pillars, which adds a ground layer to the game: transport, colonization, ground espionage and terrestrial attacks. I wanted to avoid having the whole strategy revolve only around “build fleet, attack, repeat”.
The beta is already moving forward: there are now more than 400 registered players and around 100 daily active players. A lot of new features have been added recently, and more are planned around balance, UI, alliance mechanics and long-term progression.
The game is still in beta, so there will definitely be bugs, balance issues and things that need improvement. That’s exactly why I’m looking for player feedback now, while the systems can still evolve.
If you enjoy persistent strategy games, empire building, alliances, optimization and player-driven conflict, I’d genuinely appreciate your feedback.

Even critical feedback is useful at this stage. The goal is to build something solid with the first players, not just release a beta in isolation.
