Taxes are higher, temperatures are lower, healthcare is free though not that great, but at least you won't get rug-pulled like this. You can plan a few years ahead, instead of this day-by-day thing.
My wager is that with the new USCIS memo, most tech companies will start shipping jobs to other countries including Canada. They'll have to meet talent where it is. Otherwise, they'll fall behind China.
