Lyft GPS

Lyft GPS

Why does Lyft GPS do this? The pick up and drop off are on the same road, but it took me the long way round. I didn’t realize it until more than halfway there.

Already tried to use Google Map instead but Lyft doesn’t support it in my market. Google Maps saying which lane to use when turning based on the next turn is really needed.

The little things

So, been at this about a month now. One of my first riders was a woman starting her first day at work. Had the pleasure of picking her up yesterday. I didn’t realize it at first, but as we rode, she talked about how well she was doing at a new job and how she’s getting unexpected bonuses.

When I dropped her off, I confirmed it was her. It was cool to get the update in another person’s life. Like seeing a snippet in real time. Just struck me as one of those things that help me get through the day.

She told me she favorited me after the first ride, so that was also pretty cool to hear.

Do you have a little thing that happened that made you see good in the grind?

Set Destination

So I got a scheduled ride today with the notice that the route is fixed. This was a 17-18 yo, and I’m pretty sure a parent set it up for him (I think this because the person icon stayed in the house after we left).

Anyway, about a minute or two from the drop off, he said he was going to this other location which we were about to pass. I pulled over but told him that the system said I had to take him to the destination and he responded, “this is where I’m going though.” I didn’t feel like kidnapping him so I told him have a good day.

I kinda want to get a feel for what to do in this type of situation. I’ve had it before where people want to do a quick stop and I let them know it has to be on the app, but what if they want to get out somewhere else?

What experiences have ya’ll had?
