I’ve put almost 50 hours into the game so far, playing entirely solo. I’m curious to know how you all are approaching your journey.
I’ve spent most of my time on the starting islands. My base there is still a bit rudimentary, but cozy in its own way and fully functional, with almost everything I need.
I’ve freed all the pirates and my gear is now at 180 DEF. It took some extra work because I had a save corruption issue the devs fixed in the latest patch.
Right now, I’m not looking to move yet; want to focus on exploring and leveling up. I know the next big goal is building the first ship, but I’m taking my time. If I find the "perfect" spot and hire enough crew members, then I’ll focus on building a real town.
One thing I’d love to see improved is the crew immersion. I think it would be great if the pirates you rescue actually populated your base/town instead of just "disappearing" until the ship is ready. It would give much more meaning to building a port town if you could see your crew living there!
