Hello everyone,
I was using Hue lights but gradually changing towards Govee since the offering is huge and very affordable.
That being said, I started populating my gaming room with some Govee products, lights strips, very beautiful and happy with the results.
However, I’d like to use my light setup for gaming.
With Philips Hue, I installed the software, configured gaming lights and it’s good to go. Hue has a central controller.
Now, is it possible to achieve with Govee ? I installed the software on my gaming PC, it detected by lightning but cannot communicate with them. My lights are all in 2.4 GHz bands, while my gaming computer is on the 5 GHz band. Since Govee has no central controller, should I understand that my computer is trying to communicate directly with the lights, from the 5 GHz band towards the 2.4 GHz band? Does gaming with DreamView work well, anybody has a good, working setup ?
